The trek home - Durham to Sacramento
We have begun our trek home from the east coast. We left Durham last week, bidding all of our wonderful family good bye. Well, except Linda's sister, Micki. She followed us to Oak Island and shared her wonderful beach house with us for our first 3 days on the island. That was fantastic!
We are now in Charleston, SC and will follow the route you see above, finally arriving back in Sack-o-tomatoes the day before Thanksgiving. We will be seeing some family and some old Air Force buddies along the way. Nephew Luke and his wife, Kelly in Jacksonville. AF buddy Chuck Wilcox in Jensen Beach. No one in particular in Key West. AF Buddy Gary and his wife, Cathy in Lady Lake FL. We will spend 5 days at one of our favorite places in Gulf Shores AL. Linda's sister, Jo and her husband, Charley near Shreveport LA. John's son, Robert and his girlfriend, Luz near Corpus Christie TX (and hopefully granddaughter, Maddy and new great-granddaughter, Alex near Port Lavaca TX).
We will end the trip at our niece's Denise and her husband, Jerry's house in Cameron Park CA (near Sacramento).
