Durham NC 08/01-09/15 2019

We finally arrived at our home away from home here in Durham on August 1st.  We will be here until September 15th so I wanted to post a little of what we've been doing.  We are staying at Triangle RV Park which used to be called Birchwood.  We stayed here 6 or 7 years ago and it was not in very good shape at that time.  The last few times we stayed way out in Mebane at a very nice park called Jones Station.  The problem with that place was it's distance from Durham and everyone we wanted to see.  Anyway, Triangle has a new owner and he has taken an active role in getting the place updated and improved.  You can really see the difference and we are very happy here with everything except the fact that we don't get any satellite signal.  We love the neighborhood and we are only 10 to 15 minutes from either of Linda's sisters Bobbie and Mickey.

Another nice thing about being at Triangle is that there are lots of nice trails nearby.  One we have been walking almost every morning is just around the corner at Hollow Rock Nature Park.  Here are a few pics of that trail:

Our niece Elle got to meet Priscilla for the first time and renew her friendship with Pablo.

The doggies enjoyed a play date with Digby at Mickey's house.  Pablo and Digby are old friends and Priscilla was accepted as part of the pack as well.  Here they are lounging in the pool.  Sorry - I did not get any pictures of Digby!  He is a little mixed breed about 10 lbs.

Linda reading a story to our niece Mary who goes by the nickname of May-May.

We had a picnic lunch at the Eno River with Linda's sister Mickey and niece and nephew Elle and Aubry.  Doggies got to go swimming to cool off.  Pablo tried to find a pool deep enough to really swim but to no avail.  He did try to lie down a few times but stopped when his head started to submerge!

We also went to a Durham Bulls game with Mickey.  It was a great game and the Bulls won 9-5!

So we are here in Durham enjoying our time with family.  We will be here until September 15th so I probably will not post again until then.  At that time we will be heading up to New England and Maine to be "leaf peepers"!  Until then be well and remember - Home Is Where You Park It!
